Who Is the
Skills Assessment For

The skills assessment is designed for individuals considering a change in their professional life, such as internal or external career progression, training, certification or diploma validation, career transition or business creation, without having a clear understanding of their skills and the feasibility of their project. 

This service is particularly suited for those who wish to:

  • Optimize their next career steps by identifying key skills and personal motivations

​

  • Find harmony between their deepest aspirations and the realities of the job market

​

  • Regain confidence and highlight their skills

​

  • Explore an entrepreneurial project or pursue a professional dream while ensuring its feasibility and relevance

Through this assessment, candidates progress through three key stages:

​

1 - Full Comprehensive Skills Analysis
A detailed evaluation of all skills, both visible and underestimated, to better understand their potential and develop new, realistic career opportunities.

2 - Identification of Motivations
An in-depth review of personal motivations, based on career interests, aspirations, and dreams, to define authentic and sustainable development paths.

3 - Alignment with the Job Market
A realistic comparison of skills and aspirations with current job market needs to optimize the feasibility of the envisioned career projects.

The Skills Assessment
Method

To conduct a thorough and personalized professional assessment, we work closely with the candidate to explore their full range of skills and aspirations. Our approach includes:

​

  • Analyzing existing skills, including those often underestimated or overlooked

​

  • Identifying transferable skills to consider new roles or industries

​

  • Clarifying the aspects the candidate wishes to maintain or develop in their career

​

  • Utilizing personality and motivation tests (such as MBTI, IRMR, and the Holland test) to provide career indicators and help prioritize professional paths to explore

Skills Assessment Process

The professional assessment is conducted over a maximum of 24 hours, divided into several phases.

Preliminary Phase

During an initial interview, we define the candidate's goals and expectations. A personalized program of 6 to 8 sessions is set up, with one or two sessions per week.

Investigation Phase

The candidate explores and refines their new professional project with the help of their consultant and tools such as online personality and motivation tests, all within complete confidentiality.

Together with their consultant, the candidate develops 2 to 3 potential development paths to be validated against the job market. An analysis will then be carried out, involving industry professionals, to review available positions, necessary training, and the feasibility of each project. 
​
The candidate is encouraged to meet with professionals from the industry, allowing them to build a network and test their ideas against the realities of the profession.

Conclusion Phase

At the end of the assessment, the candidate receives a summary document of the discussions from their skills assessment, which will serve as a reference for the months following the assessment.

At Saphir RH, a follow-up session is offered 6 months after the delivery of the assessment to review progress and the achievement of the project.

How to Benefit from
a Skills Assessment

The skills assessment is available to various active individuals looking to assess their career:

​

  • Private sector employees: Employees can make an individual request or apply through their CPF (Personal Training Account).

​​

  • Job seekers: The process should be carried out through Pôle Emploi, APEC, or Cap Emploi.

​

  • Public sector employees: Civil servants and non-permanent employees can also benefit from a skills assessment.

How to Fund

a Skills Assessment

Skills assessments are eligible for CPF (Personal Training Account) funding:

​

  • Outside working hours: If the assessment takes place outside working hours, the employee can use their CPF without informing their employer.

​

  • During working hours: If the assessment occurs in whole or in part during working hours, prior approval from the employer is required, in accordance with CPF usage rules.​

​

Employees can also request a Professional Assessment within their company, which has the same characteristics as the Skills Assessment (see the "Professional Assessment" section in our "Company" section).​
